This guide will show you how to disable pvp on your Longvinter Server
Turning off Player versus Player (PvP) combat in Longvinter transforms the island into a tranquil haven, allowing players to immerse themselves in the game's rich sandbox features without the constant threat of conflict. As a multiplayer open-world game, Longvinter offers a diverse range of activities—from exploring scenic landscapes to farming, crafting, and building. By removing PvP, players can focus on creativity and collaboration, making it an ideal setting for newcomers learning the mechanics or veterans seeking a more relaxed, community-driven experience. This approach encourages exploration and personal progression, fostering a welcoming environment for all playstyles.
Disabling PVP on your Longvinter Server
1. Log in to your Game Control Panel and navigate to your service.
2. Before making any modifications, stop the server from running by clicking the Stop button.

3. Navigate to Configuration Files.

4. On the Configuration Files, you will see the Game.ini file which is the General Server Config. Click the Config Editor.
5. On the Config Editor, look for PVP option and disable the settings by changing the option to PVP Off.
6. After editing, click the Save button to apply the changes.

If you want to change the server name directly on file instead of using our UI, you can click the Text Editor beside the Config Editor and do the changes from there.

In this way, you are ensured that any custom changes that you made like mods and custom scenarios will be saved and not be affected by the Config Editor preset.
